Successful, profitable manufacturer is hiring a Maintenance Lead on day shift to oversee four Maintenance Technicians. The Maintenance Lead will report to the Plant Manager and will be responsible for the following daily tasks:
- Develop, coach and mentor a skilled trades team
- Lead day-to-day maintenance activities to support facilities and manufacturing maintenance objectives
- Work with external contractors as needed and support engineering team on CapEx projects
- Assist with determining resources to train the skilled trades team
- Ensure that PM projects are completed in a timely manner based on the PM schedule
- Monitor and oversee the ticketing system to ensure on-time completion
- Support mechanical and electrical equipment troubleshooting to minimize downtime
- Complete special projects, such as continuous improvement activities, as assigned
- Read and evaluate blueprints
- Oversee spare parts inventory
- Approve timesheets and hours for the skilled trades team
- Complete all related paperwork on time
- Other duties as assigned by management
This position requires candidates to be on the manufacturing floor up to 75% of the time. This is not a desk job, and there will be days when you do get dirty! Candidates should have strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills, be able to build rapport with the hourly workforce, enjoy participating in team oriented projects, be able to take initiative and enjoy floor presence.

Requirements for the Maintenance Lead:
1. Minimum of a high school diploma or GED; a degree is preferred
2. At least 2-5 years of RECENT similar maintenance supervision experience
3. Experience overseeing skilled trades in manufacturing environments
4. A strong mechanical aptitude and the desire to be hands on
5. Basic electrical troubleshooting skills
6. Good computer skills, including basic Microsoft Office experience
Skills that are preferred, BUT NOT required:
1. PLC and/or robotics experience
2. ERP and/or CMMS experience
3. Heavy industrial experience
